This new booklet — created especially for Congregation B'nai Jacob — contains Transliterations, Readings and Reflections for Shabbat Services. Pages in the booklet correspond to page numbers of Hebrew prayers in our siddur (Sim Shalom). The supplement is filled with reflections to inspire everyone who joins us in prayer. If you are still learning to read Hebrew and/or prefer to use transliterations, this booklet is for you. If you are looking for inspiration from poetry, from rabbinical writings or from history, this booklet is for you. This supplement booklet will enable EVERYONE to take part in Shabbat services. Congregation B'nai Jacob is very grateful to Reena Seltzer (editor) and Aura Seltzer (designer) for creating this meaningful gift, and to Imperial Graphics for helping with the printing of these beautiful booklets. B'nai Jacob's Chai Society underwrote the costs of printing the supplements. Please use our Shabbat Services Supplement when you come to B'nai Jacob. We hope it enhances your prayer experience.
Here is an example of What's inside our Shabbat Services Supplement. Transliterated prayers are highlighted in the gray boxes, with page numbers that correspond to the prayer book. Meaningful reflections, photographs and graphic art from many sources complement each page.
